Cells India aspires to create a culture that supports employees' career development (CD) interests by providing opportunities for professional and personal growth. Cells India's CD program provides a process to help employees and managers create a path that best balances personal aspirations with current business needs. Because no two paths are the same, the Guiding Principles for CD help our employees and managers work together from a common framework.
At Cells India, all employees are encouraged to have a development plan. In 2007, 79% of our employee's completed these plans. While the written plans themselves are important to us, an even more important aspect of career development is that employees have regular, productive discussions with their managers. To support managers and employees in this endeavor, Cells India offers many seminars, trainings, and workshops to supplement the primary career development activities. Those primary activities are the ones which the vast majority of our employees say are the best ways to further their skills - those that occur on the job!
In addition to what you can learn "on the job," many employees take advantage of opportunities to attend national professional conferences, participate in local/regional professional associations, or attend in-house programs presented by our own internal experts. Regardless of venue, these events include scientific discussions, business strategy updates from senior leaders, systems and software training, management & leadership development, informal mentoring, peer coaching, and various other skill-building opportunities.
Cells India takes great pride in fostering personal and professional growth and we are always looking to provide the best opportunities to our employees.
